…but we don’t have the logic.

Do you have any spare time?
Are you interested in getting involved in some high viability OpenSource projects?
Are you interested in being a valuable member of the GRL Houston team?

GRL Houston needs a C++ programmer.  If you are interested, please contact us: info at grlhouston dot com

Edit:  We’ll take anyone from hobbyist level to professional volunteers.

Posted in Projects, Texas Big Face on October 27th, 2009 by Kirk Moreno

Texas Big Face, 2009- is the projection of a person’s face onto any object or three dimensional sculpture(s) to transform that object into interactive art. A person positions their face within a jig and their image is captured via camera. The camera is connected to a projector and the image is projected onto a sculpture.

Graffiti Research Lab Houston – Texas Big Face from Kirk Moreno.

Check out the video, it shows a proof of concept for a project that we are working on at Graffiti Research Lab Houston. The proof of concept involves a projector, a web/video camera, power source and a 3 dimensional object. Using one of the presidential bust created by David Addicks we displayed our face on the sculpture and made it come to life.

Proof of Concept: David Sutherland & Kirk Moreno
Location: Outside David Addick’s Sculpture Studio, Houston, TX.
